A couple of weeks ago the rain was pouring and we decided to let Koen cool off in the rain and have a little fun.
He's actually starting to shiver in this photo, so we decided to head in. But Koen would have loved to stay out there longer, despite the shivers.

We also made a second trip to the zoo so that Koen could see parts he slept through last time. We also went early enough to get to go to the Children's Zoo inside for free. There was a fountain that Koen loved playing in. We kept hoping that as he would bend over to drink the water or look closely at where it was coming from, that it would shoot up. I know that may not seem nice, but it would have been a hilarious thing to witness and capture on video! haha
Koen enjoyed getting to pet the goats.
It was a very hot day. I sort of envied this bear as he cooled off in his pool.

Koen has a few faces that he likes to make. This is his grumpy face:
His silly face.
And his cute face.

We went paddle boating for our family day last Saturday. It was a lot more work on our legs than we expected and extremely hot. I won't be planning this activity for the middle of the summer again. By the time we were done, you could see sweat all down the back of my shirt. (Gross!) We felt pretty icky afterwards, but it was still fun. Koen even got to steer the boat for a time.
This is the view as we headed towards a bridge.

This is the view as we headed towards a bridge. That was our last Saturday together as a family in Missouri this summer. Koen and I are headed back to Salt Lake with Jenny later this week. Our summer here has sped by so very fast and we are going to miss being with Jon for the next several weeks. Lets hope the time flies by quickly while we're apart too! I hope all is well for all of you!
