Busy in SLC

Grandma B. arrived in Salt Lake just days after Koen and I arrived from Missouri. We were so lucky to have her for over a week! We love spending time with her whenever we can.

We went to This Is The Place park and had tons of fun in the village. Koen LOVES trains right now and especially loved getting to ride the train around the village several times.
Our family has a deep love for ice cream, so when Koen saw this giant dessert he couldn't resist!
Before our tour of the village was over, Koen was exhausted and his head plopped right onto Grandma B.

We had fun at Wheeler's Farm.

Grandma B. knew that a chair on top of a couch is a lot of fun.

We went out to lunch at Garnder's Village, which is a super cute place. I apologize for my hair that got in front of the lens.

Just like many other toddlers, Koen is attracted to any puddle of water.

We spent some time playing in the park.

Not only the kids had tons of fun.

Unfortunately, Koen didn't find this toy quite as fun as the rest of us.
Abigail's train is Koen's favorite toy at her house.
Koen and Grandma B. had fun together all the way to the moment she needed to leave. We loved having you here Mom!

We are super excited that Jon is back home too! He surprised us by coming home a day earlier than we expected! I cried and hugged him very tightly for a long time as soon as I met him out the door. It is so good to have him home with us!!!

We've been playing in the water together.
Just thought it was cute seeing Koen in some sunglasses.
We had a picnic in the mountains that we missed seeing throughout the summer.
I will greatly miss places like this when we go back to Missouri.
Koen thinks the vacuum is fun right now.
Koen got a hold of a red marker last week that resulted in very red fingers.
I just love this sweet boy's smile!

Every picture of your boy is adorable! You've always been an amazing photographer, but you also have a very photogenic child! I'm happy your little family is reunited!

I loved every minute being there. What great times to long be remembered.
I have amazing daughters who show such hospitality.
Once again, you took some great shots.
No matter how hard I try, mine don't turn out so well.
You can tell by your's and Koen's faces that Jon's return was just what you needed.

By the way, you are lucky that Koen didn't get red marker on anything more than his fingers.
Or did he?

Koen looks a lot like his father. Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you've moved back to our area. Was your move earlier just a internship - type thing?

Yes, it was an internship. We will return in January though because Jon will graduate this winter and will work for the NGA where he interned. We expect we'll be there long-term.
